Who was 'Midnight Earl?'
'Midnight' Earl Wilson ruled the world of the society columns in New York for a considerable period from the 1950s onwards. He was in many ways the forerunner of the '3AM' phenomenon which became a fixture in newspapers worldwide, as he looked for stories on the playtime of the rich and famous. He's immortalised in the song bearting his name on Hakim's forthcoming album, 'The Soul Of Hakim Jamal,' due to drop in January.
